In the last few years, I have found that my unique talents in team building and horsemanship combine to allow me to help improve situations at Equine Therapy centers. To date, I have worked consistently in three different centers in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho helping to improve staff training and knowledge. I love helping horses at these centers that provide such incredible services to be happier and healthier. At these centers, I also create long term health and training plans for the horses that are easily implemented by staff. Lastly, empowering staff at these centers to embrace their strengths, and work on their challenges improves their leadership with horses, and also their success in their therapeutic sessions.

Courage Reins is an amazing organization that started my passion for helping therapy centers. I've been working with them for almost 3 years now, and the growth in the knowledge of the staff, and the happiness and willingness of the horses is just amazing.

Working with horses can provide a powerful new paradigm for all involved with our organization. Horses are our mirror. They are naturally bonding animals that want to quickly and effortlessly assimilate you into their herd, or join yours, as there is safety in numbers for these prey animals. Acutely aware and highly sensitive, a horse can feel a fly on its back, and pick up on the subtle signals given off by another human and animal. This makes horses highly instinctive and intuitive animals to humans’ emotional states. The horses natural bonding tendency and sought after safety and comfort, can help unravel a person’s emotional and physical tensions and anxieties faster than in many clinical settings. This unique relationship between human and horse can also increase confidence, patience and self-esteem.

Our vision is to create a community-based equestrian center where every individual can be offered the opportunity to connect with horses or other animals in a therapeutic environment. We believe horses can help bring out the best in everyone, and help us connect with our natural joy, strength, and purpose.
